So, everyone is talking about the new influential Bollywood courtroom drama known as the movie PINK. After Neerja, the Bollywood has again offered its audience a dose of reality, no fakeness attached. The movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi in the main roles. The movie basically supports the subject of women empowerment.
This is a story about 3 girls living in South Delhi who get into a scandal laid down by 3 boys, one of which has a very powerful family background. In a country like India, this is the greatest problem of today. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a retired lawyer who fights the case for these 3 girls.
The girls of our country got some really valuable lessons to learn from the movie PINK. Read these out below.
1. Be Bold enough to take your stand.
Our country believes that women should be of a decent nature, away from the bold topics and broadly take their stand. But when you are probed, you don’t really have an option. Women need to be very bold to take their stand and answer any harsh question. They must possess the strength to prove that they are not wrong if they really aren’t.
2. Learn to be independent.
Women should be independent first. If you depend on other to support you or stand beside you, you might end up really disappointed every time. Learn to be independent. Be your own backbone. If you are not wrong, don’t care about the limits of being a girl. Just prove yourself. PINK states that “I’m angry and motivated, not a victim”.
3. Screw the Judgemental Mindset.
People around us are way too judgemental about the girls. If a girl comes home late, or if she wears western clothes, they are immediately judged for their character. Know this! You are not a substance of the clothes you chose to wear or the things you like or prefer. It is up to the women. Their clothes do not signify Their character. We really need to stop judging women!
4. Don’t be a hypocrite!
Just because you are a feminist, this doesn’t allow you to take advantage of such type of situations. Supporting women don’t mean demeaning men. PINK teaches us to stop being such a hypocrite about the word SEX. Just because you are a woman and the society expects to be shameful and decent, the fact cannot be changed that you are a human being too and have sexual desires too.
5. Take account of your body!
The movie PINK favors this line extensively.
“A women’s body is not a democracy; it’s a dictatorship, and it’s about time the dictator took charge.”
A woman herself is responsible for her deeds and her body. She must take charge of the things imposed upon her. If they are irrelevant, she needs to have the strength to prove them wrong and take her stand. Only then can a respectful woman sustain in a world like the present.
We highly recommend the women of India to go and watch this movie PINK. Trust us! It would be worth your time and money and has a great deal to offer you and your dignity as a woman!
